The Versatility of LCD TV

Television technology has developed significantly fast in the last decade. Whereas the conventional TV, which is called CRT or cathode ray tube, was considered a great leap in human civilization with its capability to display motion pictures, the newer version - the LCD TV - even has far greater features as far as visual display is concerned. It has much clearer pictures owing to its high resolution.
In addition to the better resolution, televisions with liquid crystal display technology are also varied in size. The largest LCD screen is even far larger than the largest CRT TV, which brings the LCD flat screen to become a great addition in hospitality places for watching great programs such big football match, music concert, etc. On a very large screen, it feels as if you are a part of the picture. You can have a perfect home cinema for the whole family.

Aside from the clarity of the picture, LCD TV comes in a nice flat shape, thereby making it possible for you to save a lot of space by putting up the TV on the wall. You do not need any TV stand or table or anything to support the screen as you would with CRT TV. This makes a great entertainment company in a small apartment. Therefore, today the popularity of this liquid crystal display TV has surpassed that of the conventional TV by far, especially with its price getting more and more affordable.
The downside is LCD TV is said to be less durable than the conventional TV with tubes inside. While the CRT TVs can last more than five years, LCD screen is mentioned to have shorter lifetime. However, with the technology continuously improved, this issue should have been addressed well by the TV manufacturing company, knowing that this flat screen television has gained many fans who would not return to the conventional type of TV.
